For a normal PowerPoint chart, PNG is the safest first choice. Export SVG when a designer needs to edit individual vector elements.
Set map ratio before label tuning
A 16:9 slide, 4:3 slide, square social image, and A4 page place different pressure on labels and legends. Choose the target ratio first. The visible export frame is the single output boundary, so items outside it are not part of the exported map.
Use enough pixels without creating unnecessary files
Screen presentations need enough pixels for the displayed size, while print benefits from A4 at 300 PPI. Increasing resolution cannot repair crowded labels or an unclear legend; solve layout first, then export at the required dimensions.
Check fonts, titles, and no-data areas
Use a common Chinese or Latin font that exists in the target environment. Keep the title concise, use the subtitle for scope or projection details, and place the unit in the legend. No-data labels should remain quieter than labels attached to values.
Run a five-point export check
- Open the exported file instead of trusting the browser preview alone.
- Confirm that the legend position and class labels match the preview.
- Check the densest label area at the actual slide or page size.
- Verify the title, time period, unit, and data-source note.
- Keep a local project snapshot when later revisions are likely.
