Who operates EasyMap and what does this policy cover?
EasyMap is owned and operated by Humphrey. This policy applies to the EasyMap website, browser-based mapping tool, static tutorials, and support-ticket service. It reflects the product as available on the effective date below.
Effective and last updated: July 24, 2026.
What map data is processed locally?
Spreadsheet text, uploaded CSV content, administrative-area matches, map values, styles, and exports are processed in your browser. These items are not automatically sent to EasyMap servers. Clearing or leaving the page may remove unsaved work.
What is stored in the browser?
If you choose local saving, EasyMap uses IndexedDB to keep up to ten project snapshots in that browser. Language and small interface preferences may use local browser storage. You can remove this information through EasyMap controls or your browser settings. It does not automatically move to another device or browser.
What is sent with a support ticket?
A submitted ticket contains the issue category, reply email, description, page URL, interface language, selected map-source identifier, build version, and ordinary request information such as the user agent. It does not include spreadsheet rows, uploaded files, map values, or local history unless you deliberately place such information in the description.
This information is used to reply, investigate defects, protect the service from abuse, and keep an auditable support record.
Does EasyMap use advertising or analytics cookies?
EasyMap currently does not operate user accounts, cloud map storage, behavioural advertising, or third-party audience analytics. Browser storage is used for requested functionality and preferences. If advertising, analytics, or additional cookies are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated before use.
How long is information retained?
Local projects remain on your device until you delete them, clear browser data, or the browser removes them. Support messages are retained only as reasonably necessary to respond, diagnose recurring issues, maintain security, and meet applicable obligations. You may request deletion of an identifiable support message, subject to legitimate retention needs.
What about security, privacy requests, and younger users?
EasyMap limits support fields, validates requests, and keeps service credentials on the server. No internet service can promise absolute security. EasyMap is not designed to intentionally collect personal information from children. Younger users should avoid entering personal or sensitive information and obtain guardian or school approval where required.
Privacy requests about a submitted support message can be made through the Contact page.
How will policy changes be communicated?
Material changes will be published on this page with a revised update date. Continued use after an update means the current policy applies to subsequent use.
